I would like to thank your examples because their visual elegance allowed me to see the form spread like wings upon the landscape of paper. With that ability to see the form I was able to create it and puzzle together my own work, a villanelle itself. However, setting up the classes using the free version got tricky when I needed to add new students to classes. They began to limit the number of users. As for the program itself, my students loved it! I understand that you can create fundraisers that allow students' parents to purchase hard copies of the books. I haven't tried it though.Sarahhttp://www.puzzledbythepieces.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8097554359685304770.post-92211465930729047902014-01-17T12:41:49.682-05:002014-01-17T12:41:49.682-05:00love this... I was a US exchange student there over 20 years ago and spent a year in a Gymnasium and also experienced what the author writes about. Although I had no learning differences and a good command of German I was repeatedly told to improve my German writing but given no assistance and no encouragement and no consideration was made that I was not a native speaker. The early tracking system in Germany does a great disservice to students whose potential is not evident at an early age. Thank you for posting this - I had been considering moving my family again to Germany for a year or two but have a son with a learning disability and will now reconsider. I hope you can find a better school for your son or find a way to open minds at the Gymnasium. Good luck to your family and please post again about your experiences! I went to Italy few years back and admitted myself within a college and foreign language institute. My wife is a librarian who told me about the older kids who came in looking for books but who could only find books with cover art for 5-year olds. So, I wrote and published 3 books (interest level grades 5-9, reading level grade 1). They are popular in her school district with EL and Special Needs students. Inspiring to hear kids say it's the first chapter book they'd ever read and passed a test on even though they were in 8th grade. Kids bring their friends in and tell them, "this is the book you want." The kids just need books they can understand to get started. They need those first successes.R. Preemies often “catch up” to other children by the time they are toddlers, but each child is different and you haven't provided any information about how he did during his time in the NICU. The question you may want to ask is whether there are developmental or educational issues that cause you concern. If so, you might want to consider looking further at his academics to see if there are areas of weakness that need attention. You can seek an assessment from your public school or obtain an evaluation privately, from The Yellin Center or elsewhere. Each player takes a turn taking one pink time (prefix) and one blue time (suffix). If a word can be made, then the person continues his/her turn. It's fun, entertaining and competitive but most of all, it helps everyone decode and read better. It’s called “Through Angel’s Eyes” by Steve Theunissen, you can check it out and get it right off the website http://sbpra.com/stevetheunissen/, and they absolutely loved it. Too many psychoeducational reports make recommendations solely on cognitive results, which is often highly interpretive, instead of using scientifically valid interventions for the child's academic difficulties. While working memory deficits, attention, etc. etc. help us describe and understand a child's learning profile, we need to provide interventions that relate to academic deficits in addition to strengthening strengths.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12615114463754601510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8097554359685304770.post-77014892237802593762012-06-21T11:24:33.656-04:002012-06-21T11:24:33.656-04:00Thanks, I will check it out. Thanks, I will check it out.Susan Yellin, Esq., Advocacy and Transition Serviceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00520056610650965932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8097554359685304770.post-8606895660411766572012-06-20T16:43:57.097-04:002012-06-20T16:43:57.097-04:00Suggest you might also want to take a look at Moun...Suggest you might also want to take a look at Mount St Mary's in Emmitsburg.
